This Unique Large Desk will occupy Centre Stage in your home or Office. It will defintely be a conversation piece. It came over from England in the 1960's. All sides are hand carved by the very elite carpenters of the day! Superb artistry is enhanced on all sides by hand carving. The scene depicts leaves and birds and floral centered around two heads; a man's head and a woman's head. This style is usual for the time period. It could have been a Wedding gift at the time or perhaps it was a piece commissioned for the gentry of the day. Regardless, it is a "one of a kind," to be treasured for many more years to come. It is in excellent condition considering its age. It is carved and depicts fine detail on each four sides. Regardless of where you place it in your home; it can be enjoyed at every angle.
There are four pull out drawers that are discretely formed into the overall illustration. They are lost in the carving; until they are pulled out. The pictures do not do this piece justice.
